At the age of 39, I was running a busy trauma informed school and was a qualified therapist. I was totally overwhelmed, working 15 hour days on a regular basis, single and to be honest; pretty miserable. I knew I needed to make a huge change but felt totally stuck. It was my ultimate dream to become self employed and have my own practice. Then I decided to join match.com of all things and try to meet my forever person. Eeek! We all know how hard dating is... but then I met Stephen. Straight away I knew he was my one, he basically did the 1980's 'Officer and a Gentleman' thing and carried me off into the sunset. Less than a year of knowing him, he bought me 'The Doll's House' the Boston Spa Practice and had encouraged me to put my notice in at work. Dare Amour was opened in September 2022 and within one month was fully booked and has continued to be ever since. Dare Amour was born out of self belief, daring to love even when it felt risky.
